Investigation Ongoing in Power County Shooting IncidentApril 6, 2026

The Bannock County Sheriff's Office has stated that there is no ongoing threat to the public following the deadly shooting incident in Power County, Idaho. The names of the deceased and injured individuals are being withheld pending notification of their families. Two Killed, One Injured in Power County ShootingApril 6, 2026

Law enforcement was called to the scene around 2:38 pm Friday to reports of three people shot on Tank Farm Road in Power County, Idaho. Two of the victims were killed, and another was injured. The injured person was taken to the hospital. Authorities found the suspect hiding near the Portneuf River. Police say they attempted to negotiate with the suspect, but when he brandished a firearm and presented a threat to deputies, officers responded with deadly force. The suspect died on scene. Another victim was found nearby suffering from gunshot wounds and was taken to the hospital. He has since been released. No officers were harmed during the incident.
